Retaining Walls & Concrete

Block and stone retaining walls, planter borders and concrete flatwork, built with the drainage to stay put.

Sloped lots are everywhere in the High Desert, and a good retaining wall is what turns a hillside into usable yard. Whether it’s a structural wall holding back a grade change or block borders that shape planting beds, we build them to stay put.

We also pour flatwork: walkways, pads, curbing and steps, with proper base and reinforcement so it survives the freeze-thaw swings of a desert winter.

Some of our favorite projects are corner lots where the wall does double duty. It holds the grade and gives the whole property a face from the street, with built-in steps, planting pockets and a walkway tied in. A wall like that isn’t just holding dirt. It’s the first thing everyone sees.
